October 23, 2015

Submitted bi-annual update - from 1 year anniversary of winning at Shore Hatchery Business Competition - for the board members of the Ratcliffe Foundation.

 

October 14, 2015

Thrilling to enage with past winners and business coaches I've worked with to get this far on jang*go's success and now paying it forward by being a judge and mentor at tonight's pre-Shore Hatchery October Business Competition at HotDesks in Salisbury. Listening to 1 and 10 minute pitches for up and coming entrepreneurs, a few from UMES.

 

July 31, 2015

Picked up the latest prototypes that Harbor Design & Manufacturing had produced with the tweaks made from the previous prototype. Great looking product! Moving forward in marketing, including a crowd funding campaign.

May 7, 2015

Only female winner from the past year to give a six month update for the Shore Hatchery competition to the judges at Salisbury University's Perdue School of Business. Exciting!

 

April 2015

Signed up for 1st trade show, Metropolitan Cooking Show in Washington, DC at the Convention Center for mid October. After much consideration and research, the product name has been changed from Tango to jang*go. Final design manufacturing changes done by Harbor Designs; new prototypes being created.

 

March 4 - April 15, 2015

Shelley Wetzel, the inventor and owner of Tango, participated in a 6 week Business Incubator Series through HotDesks in Salisbury and Easton, MD. Listened to industry experts on startups and learned more about pitching. Well worth attending!

 

February 20, 2015 --

"Meet the Judges" networking event at the Johns Hopkins Carey School of Business in downtown Baltimore for the InvestMaryland challenge. 

 

January 28, 2015 --

Starting work on final product tweaks with Harbor Designs, Baltimore, MD and TEDCO.

 

2014:

 

November 25, 2014 - Shelley Wetzel, Tango Inventor, participated in a radio interview, at Delmarva Public Radio, regarding the Fall 2014 Shore Hatchery Business Competition, funded by the Ratcliffe Foundation at Salisbury University

 

UPDATE: 11/12 -- Tango didn't win, but gave a good presentation to the four judges.

Nov. 3, 2014 - Eastern Shore Business Competition at Entrepreneur Expo -- Tango is a semi-finalist (one of five) to present at this year's event on November 12 at the Entrepreneur Expo near BWI. We're thrilled! 

 

October 24 -  A Winner of the Shore Hatchery Entrepreneur Competition -- Out of 20 submissions, 15 were selected to give one minute pitches to local business leaders. then four advanced to the final presentation, of which Tango was one. Out of those four, three were given financial awards and Tango received one!

 

September 15 Maryland Startup Pitch Bus Competition -- The bus rolled in to Salisbury, MD today and stopped at the Hot Desks location for entrepreneurs to pitch within three minutes about their product/service and why they should advance on to the Entrepreneur Expo on Nov. 12.
